Product Feature: SAM Medical: Pelvic Sling II

The SAM Pelvic Sling II is the first and only force controlled pelvic belt scientifically proven to safely reduce and stabilize open-book pelvic ring fractures. This belt was designed to not over-tighten or under-tighten, unlike others which allow unlimited force to be applied to the patient. Through research and clinical trials they were able to determine the range of force required to safely and effectively close an unstable pelvic fracture, and this sling will do the trick.

The auto stop buckle is programmed to stop your pull once the correct compression has been obtained. The importance of stabilizing pelvic fractures during the critical 'golden hour' following severe trauma cannot be stressed enough. Because of the potentially devastating hemorrhage associated with such fractures, protocol includes applying some type of circumferential binder around the victims hips.
